Outcomes : ACDF

ACDF or “anterior cervical discectomy and fusion” is a surgical procedure performed to remove a herniated, degenerative or diseased disc from the cervical spine and replace it with a prosthesis or bone graft in order to allow fusion of the 2 vertebrae together. It is done via an incision in the front of the neck. Dr Sergides uses a PEEK (poly ether ether ketone) cage and artificial bone substitute. This negates the requirement for a separate incision to harvest bone graft.
